I am thrilled to share my featured editorial in Bold Journey Magazine where I talk more about finding purpose, navigating human challenges as a therapist, and how I support my clients and business with intentionality, dedication, and compassion!
The Spark That Started It All
My love for this work began in high school during an AP Psychology class. Something clicked the brain, human behavior, the ways we hurt and heal. I knew then I wanted to support people in navigating life’s complexities. Graduate school deepened that calling, but it was my father’s sudden death from cancer that truly reshaped everything.
Grief stripped away illusions about control and certainty. While supporting clients through their own losses, I had to learn, humbly and in real time, how to hold space for pain without losing my own footing. Viktor Frankl’s Man’s Search for Meaning became an anchor: even when everything external shifts or is taken, we retain the power to choose our response, our values, our purpose.
That season taught me purpose isn’t a one-time achievement. It’s a lighthouse we cultivate and realign with through life’s inevitable storms—rediscovering it in small, consistent choices like kindness, presence, and trust in our inner light.
Rewiring the Subconscious: My Approach Today
In my practice (now fully virtual and licensed in New Hampshire, Florida, Oklahoma, and Oregon), I specialize in helping clients reclaim their lives from trauma, chronic stress, anxiety, perfectionism, grief, and unresolved patterns that quietly erupt like dormant volcanoes.
I blend evidence-based modalities such as EMDR, Clinical Hypnosis, Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic experiencing, parts work, and nervous system regulation to gently rewire the subconscious (where 90–95% of our patterns run on autopilot). Whether through weekly sessions, intensive therapy for accelerated healing (perfect for life transitions, compound grief, or relational ruptures), or my upcoming 9-week group for chronic illness and pain management launching in 2026, the goal is the same: create safety in the body and mind so lasting change becomes possible.
The Three Qualities I Hold Most Dear
The Bold Journey piece asked what skills and qualities matter most as both a therapist and business owner. Three rose to the top:
Curiosity — It calms the nervous system, dissolves defensiveness, and opens doors to non-judgmental exploration. It’s the antidote to rigid thinking and the spark that keeps sessions alive with hope.
Compassion — Starting with self-compassion, it becomes the strength that allows deeper connection without burnout. It softens the edges so healing feels sustainable.
Interconnectedness — We’re more alike than different. Through IFS and parts work, I help clients turn triggers into self-awareness, reduce shame, and remember: we’re all in this together.
These aren’t just therapeutic tools—they guide how I run my practice, set boundaries, collaborate with care teams (doctors, psychiatrists, nurses, hospice, divorce attorneys), and keep showing up for clients and myself.
An Invitation to You
Whether you’re navigating your own search for purpose, feeling stuck in old patterns, grieving a loss, managing anxiety or chronic stress, rebuilding after relational hurt, or simply craving more presence and peace this work is for you.
Healing is possible even (especially) after profound challenge. And you don’t have to walk the path alone.
