Are you feeling attached to old emotional pain and trauma wounds, even after months or perhaps even YEARS of therapy?
If you feel like you have plateaued with your healing, unable to make steps forward, despite your best efforts- intensive therapy can dive into the subconscious faster and provide an accelerated rate of recovery that you may have not even considered as a possibility!
I’m Michelle Smith LPC, LMHC, LCMHC, a licensed therapist providing virtual intensive therapy sessions for clients in New Hampshire, Florida, Oklahoma, and Oregon.
Intensive therapy involves longer, specific goal focused sessions— scheduled often over a period of one or a few days and designed to rewire the subconscious brain and release trauma patterns for good!
For individual intensives, I utilize treatment modalities such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Clinical Hypnosis, Internal Family Systems or parts work, and Somatic therapy to access and process stuck memories, core beliefs, and emotional wounds that keep you feeling powerless or overwhelmed within your life.
For couples intensives, I can incorporate Gottman Method therapy to improve communication and connection, Emotionally Focused Couples Counseling (EFCT) to deepen emotional bonds with your partner or partners, or deepen exploration of polyamory and ethical monogamy, and premarital counseling through the Prepare/Enrich program to build a strong foundation for your relationship moving forward.
If you’re someone who lives a very busy life or travels frequently and perhaps scheduling weekly or even bi-weekly therapy sessions is not achievable, intensive therapy may be right for you! Wouldn’t it be nice to get months or even years of progress that it would take in traditional therapy done in a weekend or over a few days?!
My clients report feeling more confident and noticing belief systems shifting after their first intensive therapy sessions. With the purchase of intensive therapy sessions, clients will receive a 50-minute intake and treatment planning session, their intensive session(s), as well as a 50-minute post-evaluation session assessing progress and ensuring treatment needs are met.
The benefits of intensive therapy are transformative: it accelerates healing, reduces symptoms like anxiety, hypervigilance, & emotional overwhelm, and helps you regain a sense of control.
By working deeply with the subconscious, we can shift limiting beliefs—like "I’m not enough"—into empowering ones, such as "I am capable." My clients often leave therapy intensives feeling lighter, more connected to themselves or their partner(s), and ready to move forward with renewed clarity.
If you’re tired of feeling powerless and ready for a breakthrough, intensive therapy might be the right fit for you.
